Cakeface Patisserie, Irishtown, Kilkenny.

Located on the ‘medieval mile’ between St’ Canice’s Cathedral and High St., Our patisserie offers a unique and quirky range of gourmet sambo's on our sourdough baguettes, sweet treats and desserts, all handmade by Laura & Rory.

Choose to eat in, have a picnic or take a selection box home. Perfect to take back to work for an afternoon treat or a special occasion.

Some of our Dessert range

Take a selection to friend’s house and pretend you made them (we won’t tell). All our desserts are designed and handmade by Rory or Laura. Whether you are popping over to friends for afternoon tea or bringing dessert to a dinner, our creations will impress and delight.

Cakeface Gourmet Picnic Box

Summer's here so we have customised a Cakeface Picnic Box perfect for two.
It includes: Gourmet sambo's on our sourdough baguettes,
Specially created dessert pot for afters,

Our Breads baked daily

If you love bread, as much as we love bread then you’ll love our breads. What we don’t produce ourselves we have source from incredibly talented local bakers.  Flavoursome sourdoughs from Seagull Bakery Tramore and Irish Ale Bread from Arbutus, Cork or snack on a Stromboli for Kilkenny’s own “Spelt Baker’

Freshly made gourmet Sandwiches

We offer a selection of gourmet sandwiches made from our artisan breads. Where possible we use produce from local suppliers. We are constantly changing our sandwiches when we find a new artesian supplier.

Croissants, Scones, Macrons and more...

Delicious buttery pastries, homemade scones made fresh daily and delectable French style macarons. Perfect to go with our gourmet coffee.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

''' Although it’s on a quiet street and a little out of the way, what a great destination their delightful patisserie and little café has turned out to be. Definitely more River Café than Corner Café, the wittily named cakes and pastries (aka “Quirky and Unusual Desserts”), are simply stellar and, while simple, the savoury food - including deeply flavoured soups, and sandwiches made with gorgeous breads from carefully selected craft bakeries - is delicious.Superb coffee too - the best in Kilkenny they claim, and they could be right.

Small but mighty, Cakeface is a little treasure.
